As a member of the ATC, First Aid is an important part of your training as its ones of the skills that you will be able to use in later life after leaving the corps whatever career path you choose.
Cadets have the opportunity to gain a HeartStart, Youth First Aid or Activity First Aid Qualification.
First Aid training is split into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical half is all about learning how to diagnose certain injuries and giving you some brief medical knowledge before putting it into practice.
Practical part is where the fun starts, it involves practice sessions where a cadet is briefed on their "injuries" and the others must treat him/her.
