On Sunday 5th February 2017, cadets and staff from 422 (Corby) Squadron Royal Air Force Air Cadets paraded to mark the 76th Anniversary of the Air Training Corps.
Joined by the local RAFA Branch, the cadets marched; with heads held high, down Oakley Road towards St. John's Church in Corby Old Village.
The parade arrived at the Church, paying their respects as they passed the Cenotaph, and fell out to attend the service kindly hosted by the Squadron Padre, the Reverend Paul Frost.
To start the service, the cadets had a quick pop quiz to test their knowledge of the Air Training Corps and then listened intently as the Padre spoke about service and serving others.
Following the service, the cadets, staff and parents made their way to the Church Hall for tea and cake, very kindly put on by the Squadron Civilian Committee.
The Squadron would like to thank PC Jason Hill and his team for also attending the parade that afternoon to close the roads and make sure the parade was safe.
