Cadets Collecting for the Royal British Legion

Cadets braved the bitter cold this weekend to sell poppies on behalf of the Royal British Legion.

This year saw the first competiton between the Air Training Corps and the Army Cadet Corps to win the RBL trophy for the corps that had raised the most money from their poppy sales.

The Army Cadet Corps had sold their poppies the previous week raising a total of £576.96. The Air Training Corps had their turn this week raising over £600.

The following Sunday 422 turned up in great numbers to participate in the annual Remembrance parade in Corby. A passing ex-serviceman said: "It was great to see the Air Cadets braving the cold for such a worthy cause".
