So, you're still here!
Are you ready to take the first step towards the most exciting opportunitiesof a lifetime?
It's important to know that we're not a recruiting tool for the Royal Air Force (but it's great if you decide you want to join later on). We're not interested in anything but you and your potential, and will help you get the most from your experience as a cadet.
Aside from flying, sports, target shooting, adventure training and great fun? You’ll soon find that being an Air Cadet is its own reward - you constantly see the benefits of your own efforts, building on your achievements and earning BTECs and Duke of Edinburgh Awards. You'll be expected to take part in as many of the activities we run as possible, but with what's on offer you won't need much persuading!
Still interested?
The Squadron now operates an Intake Programme, much like our Parent Service; The Royal Air Force, which allows you to join at the same time as your friends or other like-minded teenagers. So don't worry, you won't be on your own. The purpose of this is to give you the maximum benefit of our training programme and make your first steps in becoming a Royal Air Force Air Cadet the best first steps you can take.
The Squadron will hold two Intake Open Days a year which align to the Squadron's Annual Training Programme. If you are looking to join the Squadron or want to find out more about #WhatWeDo, then you are more than welcome to visit at any time prior to these Intake Open Days (please send an email prior to your visit using the Contact Us page).
What happens if I miss the Intake Open Day?
Don't worry, you can always come down on the Monday after the Intake Open Day and we'll give you all the necessary paperwork to complete.
Where can I find you?
We meet on a Monday and Thursday night from 7pm until 9:30pm at the Army Reserve Centre on St. Marks Road.
